The Good Side was born from the observation that digital products in Finland are often built with a strong engineering-first approach. Products work, but user experience development becomes secondary.

At the same time, AI changed the situation rapidly. Building software became easier and faster, and it became increasingly clear that in the future, products won't differentiate through features but by how they work and how using them feels.

From project model to product team everyday

Before The Good Side, we worked at IT consulting firms where design came as part of the overall delivery. We noticed that long-term user experience development didn't happen in this model.

We wanted to build a company that focuses on design as part of the product team's everyday work, not as projects.

The Good Side was founded in summer 2024. Our first client came in August, and since then operations have grown profitably.

Strategy and execution go hand in hand

It's important for us to build a healthy and growing business. We believe this enables better decisions and long-term commitment.

In practice, this means pragmatism. We work where impact happens: as part of the product team, close to implementation. We bring strategic decision-making into the daily work of the implementing team, close to real customers and users.

We went through the same shift ourselves that we now help others make. We do not sell theory. We sell what we have learned by doing it.
